The Steal An Egg guide

The basics

Your base sits at the start of a long straight corridor. It has a treadmill, pens and, in front, the safe zone. The corridor crosses 12 biomes, from Forest to Angels & Demons: the further you go, the more the eggs make and the more speed you need.

You steal an egg from a nest, bring it back before the guardian catches you and put it in your pen. It grows, hatches, and the pet makes you money every second. That money buys better treadmills and better trails.

Speed

Speed is the most important stat. It lets you reach far biomes and outrun their guardians. You earn it by running on the treadmill (every step gives some); you can also buy it with Robux.

Recommended speed per biome: the biome table. Having just the recommended speed is not always enough to get back to your base with a big egg.

Guardians

Every biome has its guardian, sleeping next to the nests: a chicken in the Forest, a swan at the Lake, a scorpion in the Desert, all the way to the ArchAngel and the World Burner at the very end. As soon as you take an egg, it wakes up and chases you. There is no sneaking: only your speed matters. If you are too slow, it catches you before you get back to your base.

• The further the biome, the tougher its guardian.
• A big egg is heavy and slows you down: have some speed to spare.

Eggs and hatching

Every animal lays its own egg, recognizable by its shape. Nest eggs respawn every 5 minutes. Put the stolen egg in your pen: it hatches after a time that depends on the pet (from 10 seconds for the chicken to several hours for the rarest).

When it hatches, the pet gets a weight and maybe a mutation: that is where its real value is decided. All eggs · mutations.

Bear traps

You can place up to 3 bear traps on the map. They only catch players carrying an egg: whoever steps on one is stuck for 7 seconds. You cannot place them in the safe zone. You get your trap back when someone gets caught, or by picking it up.

The Rift

The lobby Rift (near your base) asks for 3 random pets: sacrifice them to get an exclusive egg. It offers three egg banners (Riftborn, Riftbeasts, Shattered Rift) that change about every 3 hours, on every server at once. And every 30 minutes, Rifts open on the map: beat the Overlord to earn Boss Tokens. Details.

Tips

• Start with the nearby biomes and fill your pen before going further.
• Upgrade your treadmill as soon as you can: it is what unlocks the rest.
• A trail only works on the treadmill: equip the best one you can afford; there is no need to keep several.
• A very heavy Golden Common pet can make more than an ordinary Rare pet: check with the calculator before selling.
• Beware of “scripts” and free Robux sites: bans and stolen accounts guaranteed. Scams to know.
