Mutations and sizes

Two things push a pet's income up: its mutation (its visual effect) and its size (its weight). The two multiply together.

Rainbow

Random roll on hatch, very rare: 1 in 100.

Its colors keep changing.

Parasite

Never a random roll: comes from the infected eggs (Parasite Eggs) of the Hungry Frog event.

A parasite clings to the pet.

Fractured

Never a random roll. You get it with a mutation shard from the Rift Boss Shop (10% success) or as a reward for beating the boss again and again (boss mastery).

The pet looks cracked.

Size matters too

Every pet has a base weight. The real weight, shown in kg on its card, depends on the size of the stolen egg, with some luck involved, and has nothing to do with the mutation. The heavier it is, the more it makes, but the gain slows down for huge pets.

No need to do the math: the table below and the calculator do it for you. For the curious, the formula found by the community: up to 125 times the base weight, income is multiplied by (weight ÷ base weight) to the power 37/60. Beyond that, the bonus grows more slowly.

Example

A Golden Unicorn (x2.5) that weighs 10 times its base weight makes $1B/s × 2.5 × 4.14 = about $10.3B/s. Do the math for your pets with the calculator.
