What does the scale use?

You choose. Money made: the pets' real income (base income × mutation × size bonus). Rarity: the pets' rarity, availability, age and mutation (details just below). Both: we check which side wins on money and which side wins on rarity, then combine the two results; the slider lets you make one count more than the other. There are no official trade values yet, and trading is not in the game yet: once it is, what players want most will matter too. Fair = less than 10% difference. Every pet's value: the value list.

How rarity is compared

Every pet gets a rarity score. For reference: a Common pet is worth 1, a Divine you can still get is worth 512 (as rare as 512 Commons), and a limited Divine is worth 1,024 (as rare as 2 Divines). Weight does not count here. This is not an official value, just our rule, explained in full below.

1. Rarity

Each rarity is worth double the one below.

Monster pets have no standard rarity: they count as the rarity of pets that earn as much as they do.

2. Availability

The score is multiplied: the harder a pet is to get today, the more it counts.

3. Age

For a limited or no-longer-available pet: +10% per week since its release, up to +50%.

4. Mutation

A mutation also makes a pet rarer. These bonuses are not the income multipliers: mutations you can't get from a random hatch (events, shops) count x3.

What does W/F/L mean in Steal An Egg trading?

W/F/L stands for Win, Fair, Lose: it's what players ask before accepting a trade. The calculator answers it for your trade: Fair means less than 10% difference between the two sides.

How do I know if my Steal An Egg trade is fair?
